Skills – Dragon Quest 11 Jade

In Dragon Quest 11 Jade joins your party with 4 different skill trees: Spears, Claws, Fisticuffs, and Allure. Naturally, Spears focuses on spear attacks and Claws focuses on claw attacks. Casino rama events. Fisticuffs grants Jade a variety of stat bonuses and martial arts skills, and Allure gives Jade magic spells based on Charm.

The first thing you'll want to do is decide whether you're going to use Claws or Spears. Spears are much better, so I'd recommend that, but it's up to you. I'm going to assume you pick spears, since they're massively more powerful.

First, refund all the points Jade has automatically spent in Fisticuffs. Leg Sweep and Harvest Moon are not useful. Grab all the Spear skills except for Deliverance, which is not particularly good. The main Spear skills worth having are Multithrust and Lightning Stab (for killing Metal Slimes).

After that, head up into Fisticuffs via the Max HP node and grab all the stat buffs. That should take you through the end of Act 1.

In Act 2, when Jade's skill grid expands, snag Multifeet, which is a modest upgrade over Multithrust if you're using spears, or a gigantic upgrade over Hard Claw if you're using claws (don't use claws). Also snag the HP node and Miracle moon while you're up there, which you need to unlock Pink Tornado (the locked node between Fisticuffs and Allure).

In Spears, finally grab Deliverance just to get access to the new attack power node, and grab that. If you want, you can spec out of Party Pooper, which is no longer useful once you get the new Allure skills.

Speaking of Allure, it's finally time to invest points there. Head up along the righthand side straight to Pink Typhoon to unlock Pink Tornado and grab that. Pink Tornado is Jade's best area of effect attack. Finally, grab the Charm +20 node that you skipped on the way to Pink Tornado.

That will give you all the skills you need for Jade in Dragon Quest 11. After that, just spend points wherever you want to unlock the rest of the nodes, but you won't be using any of them.

Dragon Quest XI is finally out, and like any JRPG, there is a little bit of grinding. Mind you, most of the game doesn't require that much as it's pretty well paced, but if you want to get to level 99, it can be a chore — at least without knowing a trick. There is one way to max out your characters in no time, going from level 40 to 99 in a couple of hours. It may be a repetitive process, but it's one that will save you a lot of time in the already excessively lengthy RPG. Here are 20 easy steps of earning upwards of 8 levels per battle!

  1. You'll need to be in the second portion of the game when your team is somewhat scattered.
  2. You will need Erik, Jade and Slyvando to pull this off, so at least make sure they're in your party.
  3. Erik needs the Critical Claim ability at the top of his Guile skill tree (requires his quest to be completed).
  4. Jade's Thunder Thrust spear ability can also come in handy, same with The Luminary's Pep Up skill.
  5. Get into battle anywhere in the world (best would be The First Forest because enemies can heal you).
  6. Ensure Jade, Erik and The Luminary are pepped (if not, continue to guard or use a Pep Pip).
  7. The Luminary's Pep Up skill will ensure he enters Pep status instantly.
  8. Use the Hallelujah Pep Power that will boost your EXP and Gold, along with ensuring you get item drops.
  9. Continue to guard or use Pep Pips for The Luminary, Jade and Slyvando.
  10. Use their Electro Light Pep Power to summon Metal Slimes.
  11. Be warned that there is a chance that this will summon robotic Killing Machines. Be sure to save before hand to avoid losing items.
  12. When you're below level 70, you should only get Metal Slimes and Liquid Metal Slimes, which give you upwards of 200k EXP each.
  13. When you're above 70, you will always get one Metal Slime King which will increase your EXP and Gold take, along with gain Pep Pip drops.
  14. Try to use Accelerate on Erik to boost his speed so he has a chance of skipping the line.
  15. Use the Critical Claim skill on an individual enemy. It will always crit and kill the Slime.
  16. Use Thunder Thrust with Jade, although be prepared for it to miss more than it hits. When it lands it will kill a Slime immediately, though.
  17. Hopefully the Slimes won't run away by the time Erik's turn continues to come around.
  18. You should receive 100-200k experience each from regular Metal Slimes, and even more from Metal Slime King.
  19. The most I've ever received from a Metal Slime King and two Liquid Metal Slimes was just shy of 1,000,000 EXP.
  20. This should boost players anywhere between 3-8 levels and takes 8 minutes each time.

And there you have it. Hopefully that has helped you get everyone up to their max level. You will need to obtain Skill Seeds to completely max out your characters' skills, but this should send you on your way to Level 99 in no time flat.
